Don’t get scammed!
June 11, 2015
The next time you’re at the library or the grocery store or the gas station, look around. There is a good chance that someone you see has been scammed. Maybe the man at the computer next to you received an email saying he won a prize. Or maybe the woman in front of you at the checkout lane got a phone call from someone claiming to be a “government official”. However, according to the Federal Trade Commission, passing on information about scams to your family and friends is a big part in preventing scams. Sharing WHAT you know can help protect someone WHO you know from a scam. For presentations, activities, and other resources on scams, visit ftc.gov/PassItOn.
