Learn fascinating facts and interesting history about the Pioneer City and one of its oldest cemeteries during Carbondale’s Scarecrow Festival.

The tour will meet up at the southern most entrance of Maplewood Cemetery on the corner of Cemetery Street and Robinson Avenue.*  The tour will point out some of the oldest residents, notable people, unusual stones, and untimely deaths.  Note, the ground in the cemetery is uneven so sensible shoes are a must!

*A free bus will be available outside City Hall in Carbondale if you do not wish to walk or park at the cemetery.
