Danger Club: Apple Oxidation
October 14 @ 6:00 pm
FreeEver wonder why apples turn brown after they’ve been cut open? It is called oxidation, and it is the same process that causes metal to rust when it gets wet! There are ways to slow down this process though, and the Danger Club is going to experiment to see if putting apple slices in some different solutions will slow down oxidation. While we are waiting for our apples to turn brown (or not!) we will taste a variety of types of apples and tally up our favorites.
For children in grades 4 through 6.
