An event every week that begins at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, repeating until May 6, 2025
Unleash your creativity in this multi-week costume design workshop for teens! Over the course of four weeks (April 16-May 6), participants (ages 12-18) will explore the art of transforming literature into visual storytelling through costume design. Bring a book, play, or poem that inspires you, and learn how to translate its themes, characters, and settings into unique costume sketches.
Guided by expert instruction, you’ll delve into: The fundamentals of costume design
Analyzing text for visual inspiration
Sketching and refining your designs
Selecting fabric swatches to bring your vision to life
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a completed costume design portfolio featuring your final illustrations and fabric choices—perfect for aspiring designers, artists, and storytellers alike!
You only need to register for the first session.
