“The Making of a President: The Many Influences in Jimmy Carter’s Life”

Presidential Historian Dr. Larry Cook will discuss the many influences and experiences in the life of Jimmy Carter that ultimately resulted in him becoming the 39th President of the United States. Dr. Cook has been a close personal friend of Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter for nearly 20 years, and will share some personal stories of his time with the former President and First Lady. Dr. Cook has worked on several projects with Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter and has been a memorabilia consultant for the former first couple.  Registration is requested and can be done by contacting the library.
