Friends of the Scranton Public Library Bus Trip

The Friends of the Scranton Public Library invite you to an exciting bus trip to the Roosevelt Mansion, the Roosevelt Library and Museum, and the Vanderbilt Mansion in Hyde Park, New York.

★ Appreciate walls covered with outstanding paintings, the Roosevelt Snuggery, and the Music Room containing Chinese pieces of fine porcelain. See FDR’s childhood bedroom.

★ Explore the Roosevelt Library and Museum.

★ Marvel at the decorated 55-room Mansion, now a National Historic Site with 200 acres of National Park Service land, built by Frederick W. Vanderbilt, a wealthy industrialist. With its imposing Beaux-Arts style estate, it is a true premiere example of a Gilded Age palace.

★ Take time on your own to enjoy lunch at the fabulous Eveready Diner with its tempting, delicious, and ever-popular menu!

★ Travel in a relaxed, modern, deluxe, air-conditioned, and comfortable Tiger Tours Motor Coach.

This two-hour bus trip will depart from the Scranton Public Library promptly at 8:00 AM and leave New York at 5:00 PM.
