Food Banks Need Restocking

This winter in Lackawanna County has been a bitter one for all of us, but some of our neighbors have had to make the difficult choice between food or heat. And there are still weeks to go before Spring brings relief.
Because of the severity of the winter, local food banks are looking at empty shelves and it is for them and the people they serve that Library patrons are pitching in during the month of March to help restock food pantries that have been emptied by heavy demand.
Please join us by adding non-perishable food items to collection bins at Lackawanna County libraries.
