Fun Hands-On Learning with Block Parties

Fun Hands-On Learning with Block Parties

January 25, 2016

The Abington Community Library has received materials from The Office of Commonwealth Libraries to implement a series of Block Parties for preschoolers. Block Parties offer opportunities for children to express themselves creatively, interact with new friends, and practice basic spatial skills.

In addition to a wide variety of wooden blocks, the library received figurines, animals, cars, and other props. Children ages 3-7 (along with their adults!) are invited to come to the first couple Block Parties this week. Be on the lookout for future Parties.

Wednesday, January 27 at 10:30AM

No registration required!

This program is a great, safe, playtime for children to develop skills like hand-eye coordination, self-confidence, hand manipulation, classification, trial/error, patterns, and more.
