Have Fun In Lackawanna County
June 1, 2016
Sign Up for Summer Reading Program
Summer Reading Programs at the Library help children maintain their educational progress during the break from school, but they also offer fun activities throughout the community. When they sign up for Summer Reading, your kids get a passport to some of the area’s most popular attractions including free admission to the Everhart Museum any day during the summer.
Other benefits include programs at the Steamtown National Historic Site, the Scranton Cultural Center, the Lackawanna Historical Society, the Anthracite Heritage Museum, and the Electric City Trolley Museum. The Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders are holding a Library Night at PNC Field for children who complete five books this summer, and Scranton Tomorrow is offering family movies on Courthouse Square on Thursday evenings.
There are fun activities every day for children all summer long at all Lackawanna County libraries.
Get your kids in on the fun. Sign up starts Monday, June 6.
