Do you love the I Survived series by Lauren Tarshis? Want to learn more about events that defined our country and adventure through American history? This book club is for you!
Join the Lackawanna County Library System for a special series of book discussions for children and young adults. Participate in one, a few, or all! These programs are presented as a part of America 250 Lackawanna County.
Book discussions will be held on the following dates highlighting the following titles:
- Thursday, April 9 at 4:00 P.M. – The Children’s Blizzard, 1888 at Abington Community Library
- Tuesday, April 28 at 5:00 P.M. – The Shark Attacks of 1916 at Valley Community Library
- Tuesday, May 19 at 6:00 P.M. – The American Revolution, 1776 at Lackawanna County Children’s Library
- Tuesday, May 26 at 6:00 P.M. – The American Revolution, 1776 at Lackawanna County Children’s Library
- Thursday, June 11 at 6:00 P.M. – Hurricane Katrina, 2005 at Albright Memorial Library
- Tuesday, June 16 at 4:00 P.M. – The Great Molasses Flood, 1919 at Nancy Kay Holmes Branch Library
- Monday, June 22 at 1:00 P.M. – The Attack of the Grizzlies, 1967 at Taylor Community Library
- Tuesday, June 23 at 5:00 P.M. – The California Wildfires, 2018 at Carbondale Public Library
- Monday, June 29 at 11:00 A.M. – The Battle of Gettysburg, 1863 at North Pocono Public Library.
