“I’m No Angel” Starring Mae West, Continues “Ladies of Pre-Code” Film Series Wednesday, August 6th at 7 PM
July 31, 2014
The “Ladies of Pre-Code” library film series continues Wednesday, August 6 at 7 PM with the 1933 comedy I’m No Angel starring Mae West and Cary Grant.
In only her second starring role (and her third — and final — Pre-Code film), Mae West plays Tira, a circus performer who goes through men — MANY, MANY MEN — to find the dark-eyed love foretold in her horoscope.
I’m No Angel is Mae West at her funniest and raunchiest, and it features several of her most famous lines (Did I mention she wrote the screenplay?).
I’m No Angel will be shown in the Community Room (basement of Lackawanna County Childrens Library). Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of Scranton Public Library, and the film will be preceded by vintage Intermission shorts.
All screenings are free with your library card, but registration is suggested.
