Jane Jacobs Biographer To Speak
September 7, 2016
Scranton native Jane Jacobs influenced generations of urban policy makers with her 1961 book, The Death and Life of Great American Cities. Now Robert Kanigel the author of Eyes on the Street: The Life of Jane Jacobs, a new biography, is coming to Scranton to talk about her legacy.
Kanigel was a guest of the Library Lecture Series in 2012 after publication of his book, On an Irish Island, about the Great Blasket Island, a remote spot off the west coast of Ireland, one of the last outposts of ancient Irish language and culture.
Tickets for the Kanigel lecture are free and are available online or at any Lackawanna County library.
