July Community Collection: Community Intervention Center
July 1, 2024
During July, all member libraries of the Lackawanna County Library System will be collecting donations for Community Intervention Center. Since 1972, this organization has offered recovery drop-in services and homelessness assistance. The Center provides our communities with sobriety support, referral and information services, crisis intervention and care, behavioral health groups, and many other needed services. They are currently requesting donations of coffee supplies (coffee, creamer, sugar, stirrers, & paper cups), hygiene products (razors, deodorant, shaving cream, shampoo, conditioner), white towels and washcloths, underwear, white socks, and sleeping bags as a part of this collection. New items only, please.
Donations can be dropped off at any Lackawanna County Library System location this month and will help this organization continue to provide respectful, comprehensive assistance to the residents of Lackawanna County. To find the Library nearest to you, visit our Libraries Page. For more information about the Community Intervention Center, please visit their website or follow them on Facebook. If you cannot bring donations to your local Library, please consider purchasing items from the Center’s Amazon Wish List.
