July Community Collection
July 1, 2023
In the month of July, the Lackawanna County Library System will be accepting donations to benefit the Community Intervention Center. The Center is seeking donations of new coffee supplies (coffee, creamer, insulated paper cups), hygiene products (razors, shaving cream, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, white washcloths and towels, underwear, white socks), and sleeping bags. Items may be dropped off at any Lackawanna County Library System member library throughout the month.
The Community Intervention Center has been serving Lackawanna County since 1972 and strives to “offer marginalized individuals respectful, comprehensive services that encourage personal empowerment, self- sustaining recoveries and housing stability.” The Center provides health and wellness services, mental health support, and advising along with temporary shelter, laundry, and telephone access for members of the community. For more information about these services, please visit the Center’s website.
Thank you for your contribution!
