Libraries Are Busy Places

Something for Everyone @ the Library
Lackawanna County libraries are about the busiest places in our communities!
More than 60,000 people in the county have library cards giving them access to books, audiobooks, movies, music, magazines and more. And in 2014, more than 750,000 visits were made to Lackawanna libraries by people of all ages.
In addition to library visits, tens of thousands of people log on each year to the www.lclshome.org, the Lackawanna County Library System’s website, completely re-imagined last year and re-introduced as a “virtual library.”
At www.lclshome.org, patrons can download eBooks, do research, read magazines and do many other things from the comforts of home or on the road.
There are also activities at Lackawanna County libraries for every age, from storytimes for newborns, toddlers, pre-schoolers and older kids, to book clubs for adults, and classes in everything from computer literacy to fine art.
So the answer to “What’s going on at your library?” is lots. Get involved and find what interests you.
