Magic & More While School’s Out

Summer Quest Is an Adventure for Kids
Do your children like magic? How about science and art? If the answers are yes, get them to any Lackawanna County library to sign up for “Summer Quest: A Universe of Stories.”
Conductor Cody, a magician who combines sleight-of-hand and railroad lore, will visit each library in July.
The Everhart Museum will contribute to youngsters’ natural curiosity about the world in which they live with hands-on science and art projects in August.
Meanwhile, each Library has planned something special for kids – from dinosaurs at the Carbondale Public Library to the Zoomobile at the Nancy Kay Holmes Branch Library and reptiles at the Taylor Community Library. Check your Library for a full schedule of its Summer Quest events.
Children can sign up for Summer Quest at any Lackawanna County library, and they can attend shows, exhibits and other activities at any Library in the system.
Like everything at the Library, “Summer Quest” is free!
