Meals on Wheels Clients to Benefit
For many elderly and homebound people, a beloved pet is their only companion, yet getting out to purchase cat and dog food can be a challenge.
During the month of March, “PAWsitively for the Animals,” a volunteer organization dedicated to pet rescue, adoption and low cost spay and neuter services, and Lackawanna County library patrons helping with cat litter, canned and dry dog, cat, puppy and kitten food, treats, collars and leashes, bowls, litter scoops and blankets for animals.
Some of those donations will go to Meals on Wheels “Treasured Friends” program, which delivers pet food for beloved animals along with nourishing meals for the elderly and homebound.
Small bags of pet food are preferred for the Meals on Wheels effort, as they are easier for recipients to handle, and cat food is preferred.
You can drop your contribution off at any Library.
