Meet Visiting Artist Camille Dantone

Meet Camille Dantone, the visiting artist at Abington Community Library during the month of May!

Camille is a working artist in NEPA who is passionate about fiber art, mixed media collage and all things floral print. She was born and raised in the Greater Scranton Area and went on to earn her bachelors in Arts Administration with a concentration in Art History at Marywood University in 2021. She is currently pursuing her professional career at the Everhart Museum of Natural History, Science and Art as the Community and Family Programs Manager in the Education Department. Outside of all that you can usually find her tending to her many plants or cats, Oliver and Butter. Camille continues to teach herself new crafts to not only challenge herself but to continue her art education. Camille is an advocate for providing accessibility and resources and is able to combine her passion for art and advocacy through art education outreach.

Visit the Library from May 3rd through May 27th to view Camille’s series of collages titled, The Enchanted Garden, on display in the Ryon Room and on the book stack endcaps throughout the library. All ages visitors may also choose to participate in interactive exhibit elements and turn in their activities at the circulation desk when completed!
