North Pocono Public Library has developed a Case for Support and Opportunities for donors to consider. Here are a few questions that may arise during campaign discussions.
The library is raising $1.9 million to reduce debt on its 8,000 square foot library facility that opened in 2013. We are in the quiet phase of the campaign seeking major donors, corporate funding, and foundation grants. The public phase of the campaign will begin later this year.
Fill out the pledge card and use the provided envelope or drop off your donation at the library Circulation Desk to the attention of Christopher Kelly, Development Director.
All gifts of $1,000 and above will be permanently recognized. We also have a package of naming opportunities available for larger gifts ($15,000 and above).
Yes. We welcome memorial gifts and will work with you on appropriate recognition.
No. Your pledge may be paid for in installments over one to five years. We suggest a three-year payment plan, but we can work with you to make a plan that fits your needs.
Yes. Non-cash gifts such as stock and in-kind services are welcomed. You can also give a gift through your will as a bequest. Our staff can work with you on handling such gifts.
Yes. Corporate gifts can be made directly to the library. In addition, you may be able to make a personal gift that would be matched by your company. If your company provides employee-matching grants, you will need to obtain a form from its human resources department.
A consulting firm helped with a Campaign Feasibility Study in 2023, but the Development Director, Christopher Kelly, is managing the capital campaign internally.
