October Brings Two Community Collections

This October, Lackawanna County libraries are collecting for two community collections.

Carbondale Fire Company-

As the weather continues to cool down and we head into the winter months, libraries in Lackawanna County are again promoting community donations of new and gently used coats in all sizes for those in need. Please call the Library at 570-282-4281 with any questions.

Operation Santa-

Libraries in Lackawanna County, in association with the Lackawanna County Bar Association, Friends of the Poor, and Allied Services, are collecting gently used children’s books for “Operation Santa.”

On Christmas Day, the books donated this month will be under the tree for children to enjoy all year.

Donated books should be in good condition, with no tears, stains, or bent pages. They can be dropped off in the designated container at the Library.
