Do you need to register to vote? Are you not sure if you are registered? Do you want to check where your polling place is located?

National Voter Registration Day is the country’s largest single-day voter registration drive and will next take place on September 16, 2025! As many as 1 in 4 eligible Americans are not registered to vote. Each year, millions of Americans are walled off from the democratic process due to easily solvable issues such as missing a registration deadline or failing to update a registration after moving.

You can check your status online or by visiting your local library and asking for assistance. (Note: you may need to call ahead to make sure someone is available to help you.)
