Resource Recommended by Families Helping Families
October 20, 2014
Families Helping Families, here at the Library on Wednesday evenings from 7-8:30PM, provides support for families with a member in the early stages of recovery for drug or alcohol addition.
Interested adults and teens are not required to register for this weekly Library program, but may simply stop by and connect with other individuals who share in similar struggles.
Families Helping Families recommends the Pennsylvania Parent Forum for those interested in something more. The Parent Panel Advisory Council, in collaboration with the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs, is hosting a free, day-long informational event for parents. Topics include signs/symptoms of substance abuse, how to motivate your son/daughter to get help, and how to best access treatment when needed.
The Pennsylvania Parent Forum will be held Friday, November 7, 2014 from 9AM-4PM at the Holiday Inn Harrisburg-Hershey, 6-4 Station Rd., Grantvilla, PA.
Register online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/GYPWYLV or by phone at 717-783-8200 BEFORE October 25.
