During the month of September, the Lackawanna County Library System will be accepting donations to benefit Dress for Success Lackawanna.

The mission of Dress for Success Lackawanna is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and development tools to help women thrive in work and life.

Since 1999, Dress for Success Lackawanna has provided business attire, a much-needed boost of confidence, and job retention and career advancement services to more than 6,500 women throughout six counties in northeastern Pennsylvania.  An independent 501(c)(3) corporation registered in the state of Pennsylvania, Dress for Success Lackawanna is part of a worldwide network of over 150 affiliates in twenty five countries. One woman, one suit, one job can change the world!

The following professional work attire only items may be dropped off at any Lackawanna County Library System member library throughout the month:

solid color shirts;

shoes (closed toe heels/flats);

new socks;

scrubs;

new body care items
