The Civil Rights Act of 1964: Celebrating 50 Year

The Greater Scranton Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission and the Albright Memorial Library will host a roundtable discussion on the country’s need for civil rights reform and legislation, the incredible impact it has had for all of us and our nation, and the equitable future we still work to create. The discussion will be led by experts in the area of civil rights. An historic poster display depicting key events in the struggle for American civil rights will be on site. Light refreshments will be served. Join us for this important, stimulating event Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 5:00PM at the Albright Memorial Library, 500 Vine Street, Scranton, PA. It is free and open to the public for participation.
