Tales for Tots @ Lackawanna County Children's Library

CalDesigned for children ages 2 to 3, this 3 session monthly program features stories, finger plays, a puppet show, and a simple craft.

Registration is required. To register, click the green button above, or call (570) 348-3000, ext. 3015.

Registration will be for all 3 sessions and is always the first three weeks of the month unless noted otherwise.

To cancel your registration, even if it is for one session, please call to notify us.

 

 

 

Freeplay & Storytime @ Carbondale Public Library

Freeplay: Young children have a chance to play and socialize with other children their age.

Storytime: Stories and Songs!

Craft: We usually end with a special craft or activity.

For infants to preschool age.

Freeplay and Storytime helps children with various early learning skills. Freeplay allows children to explore and learn through play, a natural way for young children to learn, and work on social skills such as sharing. Storytime   encourages the love of reading, exposes children to larger vocabulary, and teaches school readiness skills such as paying attention and taking turns.

Rhythm and Rhyme @ Nancy Kay Holmes Library

About this event: Rhythm & Rhyme is a story time focused on exploring the world of music at the library. During each session, we will use simple musical instruments: egg shakers, rhythm sticks, beanbags, and a parachute. Rhythm & Rhyme strives to enhance literacy, balance, coordination and rhythm through movement activities.

Designed for: Children, ages two to six. Babies and siblings welcome!

Make it with Play-Doh @ Nancy Kay Holmes Library

About this event: Join us for a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) Activity at the Library! Bring your imagination and stop by to show us what you can sculpt with our doh. Make it with Play-Doh encourages creativity, arts, relationships and teamwork.

LEGO Club @ Library Express Bookstore

Work with a partner to build a fabulous masterpiece. This program encourages teamwork and creativity, while enhancing fine motor skills.
