Join Summer Quest at Abington Community Library!

“Imagine Your Story” during Summer Quest, the vacation reading program that is being conducted online this year due to ongoing restrictions to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Start by signing up on Beanstack, an app for a computer or mobile device where Summer Quest participants will keep track of their reading and earn rewards. You can join as an individual or register as a family and get everyone involved.

The Beanstack app is available at the Google Play Store or iOS App Store.

There are four levels of participation:  Early literacy (birth-age 5); children (ages 6-12); teens (ages 12-18); and adult (ages 19+); and the rules are simple. Read and log books on Beanstack to earn digital badges.

The target is 800 minutes of reading over the eight weeks of Summer Quest, which breaks down to just under 15 minutes per day.

Summer reading programs are a tradition at Lackawanna County libraries and 2020 will be no exception. This year it will just be a little different.
