Virtual Community Rooms Available at the Scranton Public Library

July 13, 2020

The Scranton Public Library is now offering free virtual meeting rooms via Zoom to local businesses, community organizations, and governmental entities. This service is funded by a grant from the Scranton Area Foundation in response to the COVID-19 crisis.

“We all learned during COVID-19 that, for the work of our organizations and businesses to continue, we must be able to meet virtually,” says Scott Thomas, Library CEO, “Unfortunately, not all businesses and organizations have the means to do this. The library has always been about equal access so we are happy to be able to provide this service to the community.”

To request a Zoom meeting reservation from the library, please visit https://lclshome.org/about-albright-memorial-library/ and click “Apply to use our Zoom Virtual Meeting Space for your online meeting.” The individual making the reservation must have a valid Lackawanna County Library System library card. Currently, there will be a two-hour limit for meetings and each organization is allowed to schedule 2 meetings per month. These limitations may change depending on the need and demand for this service.

For more information or to check room availability, please call or email Jessica Serrenti at (570) 795-4315 or jserrenti@albright.org.
