Lexivore Podcast Episode 9 Local, Local, Local

In Episode 9 of Lexivore, Megha and Renee dive into all things local – with local authors, books from the local history section, local events, the local artists who display at the library. We also talk briefly about May as Mental Heath Awareness Month, and our recent reads, library events, and a teaser – which is also a call-out for patron participation for our next episode, a mid-year roundup for Patron Answers!

We hope you enjoy our podcast! You can listen to it here!

Clarks Summit: A Narrative

clarks-summit-narrativeA fascinating reprint of the book Clarks Summit: A Narrative, written originally by John and Helen Villaume in 1986, updated by Warren Watkins, Charles Kumpas, and Dennis Martin with new illustrations by Shirley Eagen, will be unveiled and available at the Dorothy Boccella HOLIDAY MARKETPLACE at the Abington Community Library on Saturday, Nov. 12 and Sunday, Nov. 13 for $15.00 / copy. This project was made possible by the generous support of the John and Helen Villaume Foundation, and support by a Lackawanna County Arts and Culture Community grant, a program of Lackawanna County Commissioners Patrick M. O’Malley, Jerry Notarianni, and Laureen A. Cummings. All proceeds benefit the Abington Community Library.
