Support of the Abington Community Library is vital to furthering our mission of providing opportunities for patrons to read, learn, and connect with the information and people that make this Library special. Through your tax-deductible contribution, you make this possible.
Despite ongoing funding concerns at the state level, our library continues to thrive thanks to the generous support of patrons and community members like you. Here are some of the ways in which we serve you and your community:
- As one of 30,000 people in our community, you help to account for 700,000 visits each year;
- If you have school students in your family or are a teacher, you receive direct support, something no longer available in many in-school libraries;
- You, your children, and grandchildren have the opportunity to attend dozens of classes, offering creative and collaborative experiences that foster a life-long love of reading, learning, and community involvement;
- You know us as a welcoming space for a diverse range of needs and interests, including support groups, book clubs, knitting circles, game clubs, and community service projects;
- You know we also host numerous education and informational opportunities on topics such as career planning, tax preparation, financial planning, cultural awareness, and more.
Thanks to your support, we continue to expand our collection and increase the number and diversity of our programs. By utilizing our services and through your ongoing financial support, you are what makes our community so special.
Our Annual Fund Drive begins November 2. If you are able to make a donation of any amount, simply drop it off at the circulation desk with your contact information or mail it to the Abington Community Library, attn: AFD, 1200 W. Grove St., Clarks Summit PA 18411. As always, your support is greatly appreciated!
