This summer, we had 570 children in our community register for Summer Reading Club! Every child was given a log to record the minutes they read throughout the summer. Kids worked hard reading anything and everything like magazines, graphic novels, chapter books, and picture books. Not only that, but children participated in the coloring and bookmark contests, earned raffle tickets by completing activity sheets and attending programs, and got free tickets to a Railriders game after they read 5 books!

Do you still have a yellow log at home? Bring it in before Friday August 26 this week for your child to receive a certificate and prizes.

We are still adding up the numbers, but so far we have calculated from the children who have turned in their logs that they have read 243,653 minutes this summer!
