Junior Battle of the Books

Miss Amber is looking for a few good readers in grades 4-12 to join the Battle of the Books Team at the Nancy Kay Holmes Library this summer.

What is Jr. Battle of the Books?

Jr. Battle of the Books is a fun and competitive reading contest for readers in 4th-6th grade. Library teams will be quizzed on the 5 selected books at the end of the summer in a countywide contest on Thursday, August 7th at 5:30 PM at Marywood University’s Lynett Multimedia Room. Teams consist of 3-5 members and participants are quizzed on their knowledge of the selected books. There will be weekly team meetings throughout the summer. Prizes will be awarded to the winning team! Represent your library in this county-wide contest! Escape! The Story of the Great Houdini by Sid Fleischman

What is The Battle of the Books?
