Invitation to Bid

Lackawanna County

The Lackawanna County Board of Commissioners have placed bid materials on file for the above project. Electronic bid documents will be available beginning Tuesday, April 6, 2021, by contacting Chris Chilek of Fancy Parsley via email at chris@fancyparsley.com

A bid bond, certified check made out to the owner (Lackawanna County), or cash in the amount of 10% of the bid amount is required to be submitted with each bid as guarantee of the bidder’s willingness to execute the contract if awarded the same.

Bid Envelopes are to be sealed and plainly marked with the Project name and the 10% binder along with all other pertinent information.  All bids must be received by the Lackawanna County Controller, 123Wyoming Avenue, 2nd Floor, Scranton, PA 18503, no later than 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 4, 2021.Bid opening will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 4, 2021, in the Commissioners’ Conference Room, 5th Floor, Lackawanna Government Center, 123 Wyoming Avenue, Scranton, PA 18503.

The general construction work includes the renovation of the existing Staff Break Room and Community Room of the Abington Community Library. The current break room and community room are to be renovated with new flooring, millwork, appliances, and paint.  A new rolling counter door and man door are to be created between the two spaces.  56 (fifty-six) calendar days has been established as the construction period for this project.

A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference (Zoom Meeting) will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 13, 2021. A bid received from any firm not represented will not be considered.  Please contact Chris Chilek at chris@fancyparsley.com to register for the Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference and Zoom Meeting details.

The right to reject any and all bids is hereby reserved by Lackawanna County.
