Event Details
July’s Classic Movie Night at Scranton Public Library will be held Wednesday, July 20th with a free screening of the hilarious all-star 1992 comedy Noises Off! The screening will begin at 6 PM in the Henkelman Room. Admission is free with your library card.
Adapted from the classic play by Michael Frayn, this outrageous 1992 comedy follows the hilarious antics of a theatre troupe preparing for opening night on Broadway. As they rehearse and perform out-of-town tryouts of the fictional British farce Nothing On, their antics backstage become just as insane as the scripted onstage chaos–driving the show’s director to the point of madness. Rated PG-13; 1 hr. 41 min.
Noises Off! features an all-star cast of Carol Burnett, Michael Caine, John Ritter, Christopher Reeve, Marilu Henner, Julie Haggerty, Nicollette Sheridan and Denholm Elliot.
Register online or by calling 570-348-3000.
