Join us every Wednesday at 2:00 PM in the Henkelman Room-2nd Floor of the Scranton Public Library for a Free Movie!

Registration is required for Wednesday Movie Matinees, and seating is limited.  Reserve below or by calling (570) 348-3000.

Flee (Wednesday, May 18th): Amin is encouraged by his filmmaker friend to reveal his hidden and painful past for the first time, his journey as a refugee from Kabul to Denmark. Nominated for 2021 Academy Awards for Best Documentary Feature, Best Animated Film, and Best International Film.  Rated PG-13; 1 hr., 29 min.

We will also be screening the 36-minute documentary short Valerie at 1:20 PM. Valerie is a short film portrait of Oscar-nominated and Cannes award-winning actress Valerie Perrine (Superman, Lenny), who is currently living with Parkinson’s Disease.
Valerie will be shown at 1:20 PM, and Flee will screen at 2 PM.
