Puzzle Swap

Bring in your gently used puzzles to the Valley Community Library. You will receive a ticket to the Puzzle Swap on January 25th between 5:30-6:30 p.m. With your ticket, you may take as many puzzles as you donated.

Medication Take-Back Event

Drop off your unused or expired medication at the Valley Community Library on October 28 between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. for proper disposal.

Fall is in the Air – Candle and Soap Sale at the Library

The Valley Community Library is partnering with Noteology again this fall for our Candle and Soap Sale!
Fundraiser Dates: October 10- November 4
Stop by the library to place your order for some amazing candles and soaps from Noteology. This fundraiser will help support the Valley Community Library and a local business this fall!
You will be contacted by the library when your order is ready for pickup in November.

Spirited Art Paint & Sip Fundraiser

Join us at the Valley Community Library for a Spirited Art Paint & Sip on Friday, March 10 at 6:00 p.m. This fundraiser will be held inside the library and is for adults ages 21 and older. Professional Spirited Art staff will give step-by-step instructions on how to create a masterpiece to take home at the end of the night.
Attendees are welcome to bring their own alcoholic beverages and snacks.
Advance registration is required and can be done in person at the Valley Community Library or online at http://www.myspiritedart.com/. The cost is $40 per person and a portion of the proceeds will go to the library.

Friends of the Library Soup Sale!

Order soup by the quart for you and your family from the Friends of the Valley Community Library. All soups are sold by the quart and come cold so they’re perfect to freeze for a later date. Choices this time are Italian wedding, Manhattan clam chowder, broccoli cheddar, and crab bisque. All quarts are $12 each, except for crab bisque (made with real crab) is $20.

Cookbook Club is back!

The Cookbook Club at the Valley Community Library is back! Join us on the first Thursday of the month at 6:00 P.M. beginning January 5. Choose a recipe from the selected cookbook during the prior month and register at the front desk. Make the recipe at home and bring your creation to the meeting. Everyone will discuss the recipes and try each other’s dishes. This program is for ages 18 and older.

Are you looking for a way to serve your community? Consider becoming a board member of the Valley Community Library.
Board members are advocates of the library in the community and are responsible for planning the future of the library, monitoring and evaluating the overall effectiveness of the library, and setting library policies. They also play a large role in fundraising for the library.
