Winnie Mouse wants to visit the moon. But how? Every night, she gazes through her telescope and wonders, and her friends, Freddie Frog and Jasper Rabbit, want to help. At first, getting there by spaceship is a tall order. Then they use their imagination and sense of adventure to give Winnie the trip of her life!

carnivores, and there will be an eight-foot triceratops skull. Don’t miss this “dino-mite” show! Also, the first fifty children to register will participate in their very own dig! Participants will go on a dig for real dinosaur fossils and construct or build a dinosaur with the findings! This “hands-on” program is special because everyone will handle real dinosaur fossil bones – not plastic—and construct a dinosaur dig site right in the library! Second Sunday with Friends: African Drum Circle – Children and families will learn about a variety of west African hand drums including the djembe, talking drum and more! Mr. Boom Boom introduces children to the world of music one song, one activity at a time. Mr. Boom Boom (Frank Coates) has taught music in various educational environments and has over a decade of experience in education. He is a professional pianist and composer specializing in contemporary piano and orchestration.
Rob Smith, juggler and friend of the library, will mesmerize and amaze you as he flawlessly juggles five balls, clubs, fire torches, and rings, not to mention flying knives with razor sharp accuracy.
Journey from earth to space with the contributions of African-American men and women in NASA’s space program. Join Rashida Lovely, educator, and her son, Dahon Lovely as they share their knowledge and appreciation of these pioneers of Science. Sponsored by the Friends of the Scranton Public Library.
